Selaković affirmed that Serbia pays great attention to its relations with Argentina, as he said, our important partner in the region of Latin America, with whom we maintain a high level of political relations. In this context, he added that our country is interested in further strengthening the political dialogue with Argentina, stressing out the interest in the visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Santiago Cafiero to Serbia.

The Minister pointed out he’s very glad the relations between the two countries are characterized by mutual understanding and support in achieving the key state priorities, when it comes to the issues of bilateral cooperation, and also the multilateral ones. He especially stressed that the important link in our relations is indeed the mutual, principled endeavor for the respect of international law and territorial integrity and sovereignty of states. On this occasion, once again he thanked Argentina for its principled position in regards to not recognizing the unilaterally declared independence of the so called Kosovo, as well as for the support it gives to the positions of Serbia in international organizations. The head of Serbian diplomacy said the focus of the overall cooperation should be placed on strengthening the economic relations and increasing the trade.
